Forged to ASTM A105, dimensionally precise and Carbon steel forged to ASTM A105 covers general utility, water and yard piping where stainless is not required. Socket-weld flanges suit smaller-bore high-pressure piping where butt welding is not practical. As a socket weld flange (category-derived) on ANSI Class 150 piping, it bolts straight onto existing mating flanges without an adaptor or transition piece.
