The $1,000 SafeWork Small Business Rebate programme of the New South Wales government is designed to encourage sole traders and small businesses that have less than 50 employees to invest in workplace safety. Charities and not-for-profits can also apply. Through this programme, eligible businesses* can receive up to $1,000 in rebates when they purchase eligible safety items as described here (Section 4) and listed here in detail.

Important: SafeWork NSW may change eligible safety items at their discretion, so please pay attention to their reminder: "Some items will soon be removed from the list of eligible items. Review the list to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements at the time you submit your application."
