The Bossweld Tobin Bronze Bare Welding Rod 1 kg Handy Pack is a low-fuming bare bronze alloy that improves operator comfort and reduces smoke. It is classified AWS A5.8 RBCuZn-A (manufacturer-stated) and produces ductile, corrosion-resistant deposits for durable maintenance joints.

It is suited to fusion and braze welding of brass, bronze and copper alloys, and comes in 1.6 mm, 2.4 mm and 3.2 mm diameters in a 1 kg pack. It is a bare rod, so use it with a brazing flux.

Selecting the right option

Choose the diameter to suit the joint and the heat you are working with. Use a brazing flux, such as the Universal Copper and Brass Flux, with a bare rod. Brazing and soldering fumes can be harmful, so work with good ventilation or fume extraction and check the safety data sheet for the exact composition.
