Aluminium Frame (TAI Series)

TechTop TAI aluminium frame 415V motors deliver IE2/IE3 efficiency in a lightweight, corrosion-resistant housing. The aluminium frame provides good thermal conductivity for heat dissipation without the weight of cast iron. Suitable for the vast majority of general industrial applications. B3 foot mount (IEC standard) is the primary mounting configuration; flange mount options include B5, B14 and others to suit direct coupling and close-coupled pump and fan applications.

Cast Iron Frame (TCI Series)

For applications with heavy vibration, shock loads, elevated temperatures or chemically aggressive environments, the TCI cast iron motor provides superior mechanical robustness and thermal mass. Cast iron frames are specified for compressors, crushers and other high-vibration duty equipment where aluminium frames may be prone to fatigue.

Brake Motors (TAI-BHR)

The TAI-BHR brake motor series integrates a spring-applied DC brake for applications requiring controlled deceleration or load holding. Typical applications include conveyor systems, hoists and positioning drives where inertial run-on after power removal is unacceptable.

Pole Configuration & Speed

2-pole motors run at approximately 2900 RPM and suit high-speed applications such as pumps and fans. 4-pole motors at approximately 1460 RPM are the most common selection for general industrial drives. 6-pole motors at approximately 960 RPM suit lower-speed applications where a direct drive arrangement is preferred over a speed reduction stage.
