Clevis Pins for Linkages, Rigging and Mechanical Assemblies
AIMS Industrial stocks clevis pins in a range of sizes and materials for industrial, agricultural and mechanical applications. A clevis pin is a cylindrical fastener used to join a clevis (a U-shaped bracket) to a rod, strap or chain link, retained by a cotter pin, split pin or circlip. They are found in hydraulic cylinders, tractor linkages, rigging assemblies, hoists, brake linkages and a wide range of mechanical connections requiring a pivoting joint.
Materials & Finishes
- Mild steel (zinc-plated) — General-purpose indoor and light outdoor use. Cost-effective for high-volume applications.
- Stainless steel Grade 316 — Corrosion-resistant. Required in marine, food processing, chemical and coastal environments.
- High-tensile steel — For load-bearing and structural applications where strength is the primary requirement.
Specifications
Clevis pins are available in metric diameters from 6 mm through to 30 mm and in imperial sizes to suit older equipment. When ordering, always specify the shank diameter, grip length (usable length between head and retaining hole) and hole position. AIMS can assist with cross-referencing clevis pins to older equipment specifications.
Cotter Pins & Retention
Clevis pins are typically retained with cotter pins (split pins) or R-clips. We stock a full range of cotter pins to complement your clevis pin selection.
