Choosing a drainage pump
Start with the flow you need and the height the water has to be lifted. The listings give the flow in litres per minute, the power, and the head where it is stated, so compare these with your job. Pumps listed as submersible sit in the water. A float switch starts the pump when the water rises, and the Blue SUB10 is listed with a float. Check the data sheet for the solids size the pump can pass, because that decides whether it suits a muddy pit or only clean water.
Check the outlet size, hose and fittings, and the power supply before you order. For a permanent installation, ask us about a controller.
