MIG Torch Holders

A MIG torch left lying on the bench between welds is an accident waiting to happen — bent swan necks, damaged liners, and torches that come back online with cold-start problems. A torch holder gets the gun off the deck, off the workpiece, and into a known position, ready for the next pickup. AIMS Industrial stocks MIG holders, hangers, and torch stands for welding bays, mobile setups, and production cells.

What we stock

  • Magnetic torch holders — clamp to the welder, bench, or workpiece, then take the torch when it's not in use
  • Bolt-on torch hangers — fix to the welder cabinet or wall for a permanent home
  • Torch hooks and brackets — simple, low-cost solutions for less demanding setups
  • Cable hangers — keep the welding lead off the floor and clear of trip hazards
  • Multi-position welder caddies — hold torch, leads, gas line, and consumables in one mobile rig

Why a torch holder pays back

  • Less consumable damage — bent swan necks and crushed nozzles are an avoidable cost
  • Cleaner contact tips — the gun isn't sitting in workshop dust and chips between welds
  • Safer setup — no torch on the floor for someone to trip over or stand on
  • Faster pickup — torch always in the same spot, ready to go

Magnetic, bolt-on, or freestanding?

Magnetic holders are the workshop favourite — they move when the work moves, attach to anything ferrous, and don't need installation. Bolt-on hangers suit fixed welding bays where the welder doesn't shift. Freestanding stands and caddies suit mobile setups, site work, and multi-process welders.

Compatible with your torch?

Most holders are designed for the standard MB-15, MB-25, MB-36, and MB-40 torch styles, plus the equivalent SB and Tweco profiles. Bring us your torch make and we'll confirm fitment.

Lead and cable management

Holders for the torch are only half the story — the welding lead, ground lead, and gas hose all benefit from a managed home as well. Cable hangers above the work area keep leads off the floor and clear of trip hazards. Reel-style retractors suit vertical bays where leads need to come down for the weld and pull back when done. For mobile setups, a welder caddy bundles the welder, gas bottle, leads, and torch holders into a single rolling unit that moves to the work.

Magnetic versus mechanical fix

Magnetic holders are the workshop favourite for flexibility — they move with the work, attach to anything ferrous, and don't need installation. The trade-off is that strong magnets pick up metal swarf, which can interfere with the magnet face over time. Mechanical (bolt-on or clamp-on) holders are permanent and clean — better for fixed bays where the welder doesn't shift.
