Spare Parts for Industrial Equipment
Looking after a workshop or fleet of older equipment? Spare parts and replacement components are usually the difference between a 5-minute repair and waiting two weeks for a new unit. AIMS Industrial supplies spare parts for the brands we sell new — Macnaught hose reels, Stronghand fabrication clamps, Austlift lifting hardware, Loctite applicators, Gates power transmission, plus many others. This page covers how to find your part, what we need from you, how warranty claims work, and realistic lead times. Last updated 29/06/26.
How to find your spare part
Three ways customers usually contact us about a spare part:
- By brand + model number — the cleanest path. If you know the brand and model of the parent unit (e.g. "Macnaught MRS1320N-01 hose reel" or "Stronghand UP245M clamp"), email sales@aimsindustrial.com.au with that detail plus the part name you need (guide roller, arm assembly, spool, seal kit). We cross-reference against the manufacturer's spare parts list and come back with availability + price.
- By part name + photo — if you don't have the model number handy, send us a photo of the broken or worn component along with the parent unit if possible. We can usually identify the brand and part from a clear photo, especially for visible spares like guide rollers, clamp arms, grease nipples, valve seats, and hose end fittings.
- By description if it's a generic component — for items like fasteners, seals, bearings, or hose fittings that aren't brand-specific, give us the dimensions (diameter, thread size, length) and material requirement, and we'll match from stock.
If you're unsure which brand made the original unit, that's fine — send the photo anyway. Between our bearings + power transmission desk and our full-catalogue sales team, we've collectively seen most of what's in Australian workshops and can usually identify the source brand from a clear image.
Brands where AIMS has strong spare parts coverage
We work directly with these suppliers on spare parts orders, so turnaround is usually faster than going through a generic spare parts route:
- Macnaught — hose reel spares (guide rollers, spool kits, seal kits, drum bearings, return spring assemblies). We deal directly with Macnaught NSW for stock and warranty.
- Stronghand — fabrication clamp spares (arm assemblies, spindles, joint pins, swivel jaws, magnetic blocks). Common parts kept in stock; specialty parts ordered in.
- Austlift — lifting hardware spares (shackle pins, hook latches, sling end fittings, chain block load chain assemblies).
- Loctite applicators — pump heads, nozzles, gun seal kits, peg-board adhesive dispensers, hand-pump replacements.
- Gates power transmission — V-belt tensioners, idler pulleys, taper-lock bushes (replacing failed pulleys often means matching bush size as much as belt size).
- CRC — applicator nozzles, brush attachments, spray straws.
- Yale + Pacific Hoists — chain block spares, hand wheel chain, load chain, brake assemblies.
- Retracta + Akreels — hose reel housings, springs, swivel joints.
If your brand isn't on this list, ask anyway — we work with a much wider supplier network than the brands above, and many manufacturers will sell spares through us even if they're not our primary stock line.
Three pathways depending on what's wrong
1. Spare part purchase — wear-and-tear or accidental damage
For parts that have worn out through normal use, broken accidentally, or need refreshing after long service, this is a standard sales transaction:
- Email us the brand + model + part needed (or photo)
- We confirm availability, price, and lead time
- You order online, by phone, or against your trade account (see our trade accounts page)
- We dispatch from stock if we hold it, or order it in from the manufacturer if not
2. Warranty claim — part failed within warranty period
If a component has failed within the manufacturer's warranty period, the process is:
- Email customerservice@aimsindustrial.com.au with the original AIMS order number (if known), photos of the failure, and a brief description of what happened (installation method, usage pattern, time in service).
- We escalate to the manufacturer's warranty team on your behalf. For Macnaught products, this goes through warranty@macnaught.com.au; for other brands we route to the appropriate warranty contact.
- Most manufacturers will ask for the product identification label photo (often a small sticker on the underside of the unit or inside a housing) — have this ready.
- Warranty assessment typically takes 3-10 business days. If approved, replacement is shipped at no charge. Some manufacturers require the failed unit returned before shipping the replacement; others ship replacement on approval and request the return in parallel.
Honest note: warranty processes vary by manufacturer. We handle the escalation, but the timeline and decision sit with them. Where the assessment takes longer than typical, we'll flag the holdup so you can decide whether to pay for a replacement now and process the warranty claim in parallel.
3. Manufacturer-direct sourcing — specialty parts we facilitate but don't stock
For specialty spares or low-volume parts on equipment we don't routinely sell new, we'll often source direct from the manufacturer rather than stock them. You still order through AIMS — same invoice, same delivery, same payment workflow — but the part ships from the manufacturer's warehouse rather than ours. Lead time typically adds 2-5 business days.
What we need from you to find the part fast
The more of this you can supply in the first email, the faster we can come back with availability:
- Brand — if you know it
- Model number of the parent unit — usually on a stamped or stickered plate on the housing
- Part name or description — "guide roller", "arm assembly", "load chain", "spool seal", "applicator nozzle"
- Photo of the broken part — alongside the parent unit if possible
- Original AIMS order number — only needed for warranty claims; not required for standard spare parts purchases
- Year of purchase or approximate age — older equipment may have superseded part numbers
- Delivery postcode — for the freight quote

Realistic lead times for spare parts
- In-stock spares — typically ship within 1 business day from our Milperra warehouse, same delivery timing as standard orders (see our shipping page).
- Manufacturer-stocked spares — usually 2-5 business days to land at our warehouse from major Australian suppliers (Macnaught, Stronghand, Austlift, Gates), then dispatched same day.
- Imported or low-volume spares — 2-6 weeks if the part needs to come from an overseas factory or has been superseded. We'll always tell you upfront if it's the longer pathway.
- Warranty replacements — assessment 3-10 business days, then dispatch on approval (manufacturer-dependent).
People Also Ask
Does AIMS Industrial sell spare parts for older equipment?
Yes. AIMS sells spare parts for the brands we stock new, including Macnaught, Stronghand, Austlift, Loctite applicators, Gates power transmission, CRC, Yale, Pacific Hoists, Retracta, and Akreels. For brands outside our regular catalogue, we'll source direct from the manufacturer where they sell spares through us. Email sales@aimsindustrial.com.au with the brand, model, and part needed — or a photo if you're unsure.
How do I find a replacement guide roller for my Macnaught hose reel?
Email sales@aimsindustrial.com.au with your Macnaught model number (usually stamped on the housing, e.g. MRS1320N-01 or MATP1920-01) and a photo of the worn or damaged guide roller. We stock the common guide roller sets for Macnaught enclosed and pedestal reels, and can order specialty ones direct from Macnaught NSW. In-stock parts ship within 1 business day; bring-in parts typically 2-5 business days.
Where can I get a replacement arm or spindle for a Stronghand clamp?
Email AIMS at sales@aimsindustrial.com.au with the Stronghand model number (e.g. UP245M for the universal pliers clamp) and either the part name or a photo of the broken component. AIMS holds common Stronghand spares like clamp arms, spindles, joint pins, and swivel jaws. Specialty parts on older models can usually be sourced direct from Stronghand within 2-5 business days.
What's the process for an AIMS warranty claim on a faulty product?
Email customerservice@aimsindustrial.com.au with: your original AIMS order number (if known), photos of the failure, the product identification label photo, and a description of how the failure occurred. AIMS escalates to the manufacturer's warranty team on your behalf. Assessment typically takes 3-10 business days. If approved, replacement ships at no charge. Where the manufacturer requires the failed unit returned before replacement, we'll let you know during the process.
Do I need the original receipt to claim spare parts under warranty?
Not always, but it helps. AIMS can usually retrieve the original order from our system if you tell us roughly when it was bought and what was ordered. For manufacturer warranty claims, the receipt + serial number from the product identification label are the two most useful documents. If you don't have either, ring us anyway — sometimes we can verify the warranty period from the serial number alone.
How long does it take to get a spare part shipped?
In-stock spares typically ship within 1 business day from our Milperra warehouse. Manufacturer-stocked spares (when we need to bring them in) usually take 2-5 business days to land at AIMS, then dispatch the same day. Imported or low-volume spares can take 2-6 weeks — we'll always confirm the realistic lead time when you order.
Can AIMS source spare parts for brands you don't stock new?
Often yes. AIMS has a wider supplier network than the brands in our online catalogue, and many manufacturers will sell spares through us even if we don't carry their full range. Email the brand, model number, and part needed (or photo) — we'll come back within 1 business day with whether we can source it and the realistic lead time.
Does AIMS sell spare parts internationally?
Yes. International spare parts shipments are quoted on application — we've supplied spares to trade buyers in NZ, the USA, Singapore, Vietnam, the UAE, and elsewhere. For Dangerous Goods spares (certain lubricants, anaerobic adhesives, sealants), we use specialist DG forwarders where FedEx can't carry the item. See our shipping page for the international + DG export pathway.
