M8 x Standard JIS Collared Eye Bolt, 316 Stainless Steel - EBJA4M8

Made in 316 (A4) stainless steel, the JIS Collared Eye Bolt is a threaded bolt with a closed eye and a collar, made to a JIS style (Japanese Industrial Standard) dimension.

The range runs to 15 variants, covering sizes M6 to M24 and lengths Standard to 120 mm. Variants are supplied in packs of 2 to 10, depending on size.

Made from 316 (A4) stainless steel, the grade normally specified for chloride-exposed work such as coastal installations, swimming pools, marine fittings and food-processing plant. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.

Stainless threads can gall (seize) when tightened under load or at speed. A smear of anti-seize on the thread and a steady tightening speed reduce the risk.

Selecting the right option

Choose the size by the thread and length shown on the variant. Do not use an eye bolt for lifting unless the supplier states a rating and the bolt is marked with a working load limit (WLL). Eye bolts are rated for a straight pull in line with the shank, and the rating drops sharply for angled loads. For lifting, use a rated lifting product and a qualified rigger.
