Thickened with non-soap bentonite rather than a conventional soap, Molybentone resists softening at extreme heat and keeps lubricating from -20°C up to 250°C, making it a specialist high temperature grease for kiln cars, furnace hinges and oven conveyors. Molybdenum disulphide gives dry-film protection if grease is ever forced out of a bearing, while a heavy paraffinic base oil carries the load. Note this moly grease is not compatible with other grease types, so bearings must be fully purged before changeover.

Molybentone is not compatible with other greases, so the former grease must be completely removed and cleaned from bearings before use.
