Selecting the right option

Fitting and use

Axial loads only: these bearings cannot carry any radial load, so the shaft needs a separate bearing to locate it radially. Single-direction bearings take axial load in one direction only. If the load reverses, a double-direction thrust ball bearing, preloaded above its minimum load, is needed instead.

The housing washer needs a flat, square seat. Fit the shaft washer to the shaft and the housing washer in the housing.
