Sutton M551M18 17 Piece Metric Tap and Die Set - Button Dies - HSS

The Sutton M551M18 is a 17 piece metric (ISO coarse) tap and die set. It contains 7 intermediate taps, 7 button dies, a #1.5 bar type tap wrench and a 1 inch button die holder, plus a bonus thread pitch gauge. The taps cut internal threads and the button dies cut or clean up external threads on studs and bolts.

The button dies are high speed steel (HSS), designed for longer tool life and more accurate threads than carbon dies. They suit cleaning up existing threads in tough applications. The solid round die fits an adjustable guide or plain die stock handle.

Intermediate taps help align and start the tap into an untapped hole.
