T5 pilot bore timing pulleys in aluminium for T5 timing belts, which have a 5 mm pitch. The range covers 66 models from 10 to 60 teeth, for 10, 16 and 25 mm wide belts.

A pilot bore pulley is supplied with a starter hole, so you can have it bored and keywayed to suit your shaft. The catalogue lists the largest finished bore for every model, with pitch diameter, outside diameter, flange diameter, hub diameter, face width and overall width.

Models with 10, 12 and 14 teeth have no pilot bore listed in the catalogue, and the table shows a dash for them.

Selecting and fitting

Choose the pulley by belt profile (T5), belt width and number of teeth. Divide the driven teeth by the driver teeth to find the speed ratio. Both pulleys on a drive must have the same tooth pitch as the belt.

The last number in each model code is the number of teeth, and the number at the start is the overall width of the pulley in millimetres. Pilot bore pulleys are supplied with a starter hole. Have the pulley bored and keywayed to suit your shaft, keeping the bore concentric with the pulley, and add a set screw over the keyway. Do not bore beyond the maximum finished bore listed for the model.

Fit the belt by moving the shafts closer together, not by levering it over the flanges or teeth. Set the belt tension to the belt maker's recommendation and check it again after a few hours of running.
