Tecmen is a Chinese manufacturer of PAPR (Powered Air-Purifying Respirator) welding helmets and face shields, producing battery-powered respiratory protection systems that combine a powered filtered air supply with auto-darkening welding lens protection. Tecmen PAPR welding helmets integrate a battery-powered air-purifying blower unit with a welding-grade auto-darkening filter (ADF) into a single head-worn unit. The blower draws filtered air across the welder's face, providing respiratory protection against welding fume while the ADF lens provides arc protection from shade 5 to shade 13. This combination eliminates the need for a separate respirator in welding environments where fume levels exceed the limits of a standard passive filter mask.

Where this product is used

PAPR welding helmets are used where both arc protection and respiratory protection are required simultaneously:

• Heavy production welding environments where prolonged exposure to MIG, TIG, and stick welding fume exceeds safe exposure limits.
• Stainless steel, galvanised, and coated material welding where fume toxicity requires powered respiratory protection.
• Confined space welding where fume accumulation makes passive respirators insufficient for the duration of the task.

Confirm the ADF shade range suits the welding process — shade 9–13 covers most MIG and stick applications; shade 5–8 suits plasma cutting and light arc work.
