Belt Sanders

Bench belt sanders use a continuous abrasive belt driven between two rollers to provide a flat, fast-cutting sanding surface. The workpiece is presented to the moving belt for aggressive stock removal, edge shaping and surface cleaning on flat and contoured components. Available in horizontal (flat platen) and vertical configurations, with belt sizes typically from 50mm x 686mm for small bench units to 150mm x 1220mm for heavier-duty machines. The contact wheel (rubber-covered driving roller) allows curved surface finishing when the belt is used at the end of the machine without the platen backing.

Disc Sanders

Bench disc sanders use a rotating circular abrasive disc for fast flat-face grinding, end-grain shaping and squaring of timber and light metalwork. The combination table with adjustable mitre guide allows accurate angle sanding for joints and compound shapes. Disc diameters range from 200mm for light workshop use to 300mm on heavier trade machines.

Combination Belt-Disc Machines

Combination units provide both a belt and a disc sanding surface in a single bench-top footprint — the practical choice for workshops where space is limited and both operations are needed regularly.
