Bossweld Welding Consumables & Equipment — Electrodes, MIG Wire, TIG Rods & Gas Gear

Bossweld is an Australian welding brand with a strong following among fabricators, maintenance engineers, and industrial tradespeople. The range covers the full spectrum of welding consumables and associated equipment — from stick electrodes and MIG wire through to TIG rods, tungsten electrodes, gas regulators, hoses, and workshop accessories. AIMS Industrial stocks Bossweld for maintenance teams in manufacturing, mining, and construction environments across Australia, with fast delivery nationally.

Bossweld Electrodes, TIG Rods & Tungsten

  • Bossweld 6013 General Purpose Electrodes: The 6013 electrode is one of the most widely used stick welding rods in general maintenance and fabrication work. It runs cleanly on AC or DC power sources, produces a smooth bead with easy slag removal, and tolerates minor surface contamination — making it the go-to choice for repair welding on mild steel in workshop and field maintenance environments where preparation time is limited.
  • Bossweld 316L Stainless Steel TIG Welding Rod (Handypack): 316L TIG rod is used for welding 316 grade stainless steel — the material specification found in food processing equipment, chemical plant pipework, marine fittings, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The low carbon content of 316L reduces sensitisation and intergranular corrosion in weldments, making it the correct choice wherever the welded joint will be exposed to corrosive environments or cleaning agents.
  • Bossweld 2% Thoriated Tungsten Electrodes: Thoriated tungsten (WT20) is the standard electrode for DC TIG welding of steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys. The 2% thorium content provides excellent arc starts, high current-carrying capacity, and long electrode life — making it the preferred tungsten for experienced TIG welders working in fabrication and precision maintenance applications.
  • Bossweld Lanthanated Tungsten Electrodes: Lanthanated tungsten (WL20) is the non-radioactive alternative to thoriated tungsten, offering equivalent or superior arc performance on both AC and DC. Suited to welding shops that have moved away from radioactive consumables on WHS grounds without compromising on TIG weld quality for stainless, aluminium, and exotic alloy work.

Bossweld Gas Regulators, Accessories & Welding Safety

  • Bossweld Argon Dual Stage, Twin Gauge Regulator (Side Entry): A dual-stage argon regulator delivers stable shielding gas flow across the full cylinder pressure range — important for consistent weld quality from a full cylinder down to the last few hundred psi. The twin-gauge format shows both inlet (cylinder) pressure and outlet (working) pressure simultaneously, giving the operator full visibility of gas consumption and flow rate.
  • Bossweld Blue Water-Based Anti-Spatter: Water-based anti-spatter protects MIG nozzles, torch bodies, and workpiece surfaces from weld spatter adhesion. The water-based formula is preferred in enclosed workshops and food-adjacent environments where solvent-based anti-spatters create fume and contamination concerns. Regular application to the MIG nozzle extends consumable life and reduces time spent cleaning blocked tips between runs.
  • Bossweld TIG Welding Glove — Long (Pair): TIG welding requires a thinner, more dexterous glove than MIG or stick welding — the welder needs to feel and control the filler rod precisely while maintaining the torch. The Bossweld long TIG glove provides wrist and forearm protection from radiated heat and spatter while retaining the tactile sensitivity needed for quality TIG work.
  • Bossweld Solid Tyre Cylinder Trolley: A proper cylinder trolley is essential for safe gas cylinder handling in accordance with AS 4289 requirements for compressed gas cylinder storage and use. The solid tyre format is suited to workshop and factory floors where punctures would be a maintenance inconvenience — keeps cylinders secure and mobile throughout the workday without the need for tyre inflation.
