• Reduced Torque Capacity: The reduced head height of button head screws limits the available torque compared to standard socket head cap screws. Do not use button head screws in joints requiring high-torque preloading — use standard cap screws (ISO 4762) for high-load joints.
• Grade 10.9 vs 8.8: Grade 10.9 provides higher tensile strength than Grade 8.8 — allowing a smaller diameter fastener to carry the same load. Confirm the minimum required fastener grade from the design specification before selecting 10.9 or 8.8.
