Choosing a can, jug or bottle
Pick the container by how the fluid will be used. A flexible spout reaches awkward fill points, a force feed can delivers a controlled shot of oil without pouring, and a measuring jug lets you top up to a set volume. Brass and tin cans suit tough workshop and field use, while plastic jugs are light and easy to clean. Keep fluids in separate, clearly labelled containers so oils and fluids do not get mixed up. Always check the data sheet. Confirm the container is suitable for the fluid you plan to store, particularly fuels and solvents, and follow your site rules for storing and labelling flammable liquids.

What is a force feed oil can?
A force feed can has a pump or plunger action that delivers a controlled amount of oil through the spout without tipping the can. We list Alemlube force feed cans in 375ml and 500ml with a flexible spout.
What size oil can should I buy?
Small cans of 150ml to 600ml suit spot oiling at the machine. Larger cans, jugs and billies from 1L up are better for topping up and transferring. We list sizes from 150ml to 10L.
Do you have a measuring jug with a flexible spout?
Yes. The Lubemate 2L and 5L plastic measuring jugs have a flexible spout, and there is a combo pack with 600ml, 2L and 5L jugs.
Do you have a food grade applicator bottle?
The Inox MX3FG-A is listed as a food grade applicator bottle in 500ml. Check the data sheet for where it is suitable to use.
Can I keep different oils in the same can?
It is best not to. Use separate, labelled containers for each fluid to avoid cross contamination. The Lubemate lids in containers and funnels come in four colours for colour coding.
