Oil Cans

Oil cans are the traditional tool for applying thin oils to bearings, chains, hinges, and small mechanisms that require precise, controlled lubrication. They are available in several styles:

• Telescopic spout oil cans: A flexible or rigid telescoping spout allows oil to be directed into hard-to-reach lubrication points without disassembly. The spout extends to reach deep into machinery and then retracts for storage. Suitable for machine tool lubrication, press shops, and general maintenance.
• Trigger pump oil cans: A trigger lever pumps a measured shot of oil per stroke. More controlled dispensing than gravity-flow cans — reduces over-lubrication and oil waste.
• Plunger oil cans: The plunger is pushed down to eject oil from the spout. Compact and simple — suited to occasional light lubrication tasks.

Jerry Cans and Fuel Containers

Jerry cans and fuel containers are used for storing and transporting diesel, petrol, and other petroleum products on workshops and worksites. Steel jerry cans comply with UN approval standards for fuel transport and are more robust than plastic containers for long-term fuel storage. HDPE plastic containers are lighter and suit shorter-term fuel storage and non-petroleum fluids. Always ensure containers are UN-certified for the fluid being stored — using a non-rated container for flammable liquids is a safety and compliance risk.

Spray Bottles and Trigger Sprayers

Chemical-resistant spray bottles with trigger sprayers are used for applying degreasers, surface cleaners, cutting fluids, and marking solutions in controlled amounts. Polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene bottles resist most workshop chemicals. Confirm the bottle material is compatible with the chemical being dispensed — some solvents attack standard spray bottle materials, causing swelling, cracking, or contamination of the fluid.

Measuring Jugs and Mixing Containers

Calibrated measuring jugs and mixing containers are essential for mixing two-part coatings, cutting fluid concentrates, and solvent-based products at the correct ratio. Translucent or semi-translucent construction and clearly moulded graduation marks allow accurate measurement without a separate measuring instrument. Chemical-resistant materials prevent the jug absorbing fluid residues that would contaminate the next product measured.
