Diamond Blade Types

• Segmented blades: Gullets between segments provide cooling and chip clearance — the standard choice for dry cutting concrete, brick and masonry.
• Turbo (serrated rim) blades: Corrugated continuous rim combines fast cutting with acceptable finish quality — suited to brick, pavers and general masonry work.
• Continuous rim blades: Smooth, uninterrupted cutting edge for the cleanest possible finish in porcelain, ceramic tile and natural stone wet cutting.
• Wall chaser blades: Narrow-kerf blades in twin configurations for cutting conduit chases in brick and block walls without wheel-to-wheel interference.
• Core drill diamond: Wet and dry core drilling segments for concrete, reinforced concrete, sandstone and brick in plumbing and electrical installations.

Selection Guide by Material

• Concrete and reinforced concrete: Hard-bond diamond blades suit soft, aggregate-heavy concrete; soft-bond suits hard, dense concrete — match bond hardness to material abrasivity.
• Porcelain and ceramic tile: Continuous rim wet blades at 3,000+ RPM with water cooling — dry cutting porcelain causes rapid segment loss and overheating.
• Asphalt: Specialised soft-bond blades with high diamond grit concentration for the highly abrasive, tar-contaminated aggregate in road surface cutting.
• Safety: Always confirm blade RPM rating exceeds the tool's no-load speed; use the correct guard for the blade diameter and cutting operation type.
