Fenner Drives
Fenner Drives is a globally recognised power transmission brand with a long history in belt drives, couplings, and related transmission components. The Fenner brand has been associated with quality V-belts and flat belts in industrial applications for well over a century, and the product range has expanded to cover timing belts, shaft locking devices, and flexible couplings. AIMS Industrial stocks Fenner Drives products for Australian industrial and maintenance applications.
V-Belts
Fenner V-belts cover the full range of classical and narrow-section profiles used in Australian industry. Classical sections (A, B, C, D) are the most common for general industrial drives; narrow wedge sections (SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC) are specified where higher power density is needed in a reduced cross-section. Fenner belts are manufactured to ISO dimensions, ensuring cross-compatibility with pulleys designed to the same standard. The Fenner Top-Cog and PowerPlus ranges offer enhanced flex life and heat resistance for demanding drives.
Timing Belts
Fenner synchronous (timing) belts provide positive, slip-free power transmission for drives where timing accuracy is important — camshaft drives, indexing conveyors, printing machinery, and similar applications where the drive ratio must be maintained exactly. Fenner timing belts are available in HTD, GT, and classical timing tooth profiles. Belt tension and pulley alignment are critical for timing belt life — an undertensioned timing belt will ratchet under load, and a misaligned belt will wear one-sided and fail early.
Shaft Locking Devices and Couplings
Fenner's Trantorque and Fenlock shaft locking devices provide interference-free keyless power transmission between shaft and hub. By eliminating keys and keyways, these devices avoid the stress concentrations and fretting corrosion associated with keyed connections, and allow pulleys, sprockets, and hubs to be repositioned axially along the shaft without machining. Fenner flexible couplings complete the power transmission range for drive system assembly and maintenance.
Technical Support and Cross-Referencing
AIMS Industrial's team can assist with Fenner product cross-referencing — matching a competitor belt designation or an OEM part number to the correct Fenner equivalent. For Fenner V-belt, timing belt, or coupling product enquiries, contact our team.
Cross-Referencing and Delivery
AIMS Industrial stocks Fenner V-belts in classical and wedge section profiles for the most common Australian industrial drive configurations, with fast delivery across the country. Cross-referencing a worn belt from the existing belt markings — the section designation and datum length stamped on the outer face — or from pulley diameter and centre distance measurements is a routine service our team provides. AIMS also stocks Fenner pulleys and locking elements to support complete drive system maintenance and assembly.
