How Flush Head Sleeve Anchors Work

The flush head sleeve anchor uses the same expansion mechanism as a standard sleeve anchor: a threaded bolt or stud draws a cone-shaped expander element upward through a split sleeve as the bolt is tightened. The sleeve expands outward against the concrete wall of the drilled hole, creating friction-based holding force. The flush head variant uses a countersunk or flat profile at the head so that when the anchor is fully set, the top of the head is flush with the concrete surface. The drill hole includes a countersunk recess to accept the flush head profile.
