Needle Nose Pliers

Needle nose pliers (also called long nose or pointy nose pliers) are the right tool when standard combination pliers can't reach. The slim, tapering jaws fit into tight spaces — between fittings on a panel, into recesses on a casting, around small components on an electrical assembly — and grip with enough force for the holding and bending tasks that fine work demands. Match the jaw length and angle to the access. For panel and electronics work, a 150mm-200mm long-reach pair gives access without unwieldy bulk. For general workshop use, a 175mm standard-nose pair is the all-rounder. For tight bent-access work, the 45° or 90° bent-nose styles earn their place; for live electrical work, a VDE-certified pair is mandatory.
