Reach Locking Assemblies at AIMS Industrial
Reach produces a range of keyless locking assemblies (also known as shaft locking devices or interference-fit couplings) used to secure hubs, pulleys, sprockets, cams and other components to shafts without keyways. AIMS Industrial stocks Reach locking assemblies in multiple types — precision mechanical components for industrial drive and positioning applications.
Reach Locking Assembly Types at AIMS
Keyless locking assemblies transmit torque through friction, eliminating the stress concentrations of keyways and enabling backlash-free connections. Reach assemblies are available at AIMS in the following configurations:
- Type 01 — single taper ring, standard duty
- Type 02 (Self-Centering) — double taper, self-centering during assembly
- Type 04 (Self-Centering) — higher torque capacity, self-centering design
- Type 07 (Self-Centering) — compact profile for space-constrained installations
- Type 19 (Self-Centering) — wide-flange design for larger hub applications
- 180 × 235mm Locking Assembly — large-format assembly for heavy industrial shafts
When to Use a Locking Assembly
Locking assemblies are the preferred choice for precision drives, indexing applications and where regular disassembly is required — they offer accurate shaft positioning, easy removal and zero keyway wear. Widely used in gearboxes, conveyors, packaging machinery and automation.
