Torque Wrenches

AIMS Industrial sells precision torque wrenches from Stahlwille (Germany) — covering click-type torque wrenches with tool carrier (standard, 10A and A/2 configurations), spring torque wrenches with reversible ratchet, electronic torque wrenches and quick-release torque wrenches. All Stahlwille torque wrenches are factory calibrated and supplied with calibration certificates traceable to DIN EN ISO 6789.

Click-Type Torque Wrenches with Tool Carrier

Click-type torque wrenches produce an audible and tactile click when the preset torque is reached, preventing over-tightening. Stahlwille’s tool carrier design accepts square drive inserts and open-end attachments — one wrench body works with multiple drive configurations.

Torque Wrench Use & Calibration

• Operating in the Correct Range: Stahlwille torque wrenches are most accurate between 20% and 80% of full-scale torque. Select a wrench whose range encompasses your target torque in this zone — do not use a 200 Nm wrench to apply 15 Nm.
• Spring Relief After Use: Click-type torque wrenches must be backed off to the minimum setting after use. Leaving the wrench set at working torque permanently fatigues the internal spring and reduces calibration accuracy.
• Calibration Interval: Stahlwille recommends annual calibration or after any suspect over-torque event. Safety-critical and regulated applications may require shorter intervals. Stahlwille wrenches are supplied with certificates traceable to DIN EN ISO 6789.
• Drive Size Selection: Match the drive size to the fastener and socket. ¼" drive for light-torque precision work; ⅜" for medium torque; ½" for structural and heavy equipment fastening.
