Australian Standards & Compliance Documentation
AIMS Industrial supplies products certified to Australian, ISO, DIN and European standards across every category we stock. This page indexes the standards relevant to each product category, explains how to request a Certificate of Conformity, and outlines the procurement pathway for government, defence, education and Tier-1 industrial buyers. Last updated 29/06/26.
How to request a Certificate of Conformity
The right pathway depends on where you are in the buying process:
- New buyer doing vendor qualification or procurement research — use our Request a Quote form. List the products you need, the standards your specification requires, and any destination details. We come back within 1 business day with both the quote and the certification documentation available.
- Export orders needing COC documentation — see our international and export orders page for the full Incoterms, payment and certification workflow. CoC requirements should be identified in your initial enquiry so we can confirm supplier coverage before quoting.
- Government, defence, education and Tier-1 procurement — automatic 30-day credit terms apply (no application form required). Email accounts@aimsindustrial.com.au with your PO and standards specification. See our trade accounts page for the full pathway.
- Existing AIMS customer with a quote or order already in progress — add the CoC request to your existing thread. Email sales@aimsindustrial.com.au or ring (02) 9773 0122.
- Quick yes/no question — "Do you supply X compliant to standard Y?" — phone or our Contact Us page is the fastest route. We'll confirm availability and supplier coverage same business day.
Best practice for any compliance enquiry: identify the specific standard(s) your buyer or project requires upfront. That lets us confirm before order which documentation we can supply and which we can't — no gaps after goods have shipped.
Standards by product category
The standards listed below cover the products AIMS stocks across each category. Coverage depends on the specific product and manufacturer — some brands hold full compliance documentation as standard, some require a specific request through the supplier, some products aren't covered by a formal certification at all. Tell us what you need and we'll confirm what's available.

Adhesives and Thread Sealants

For Loctite, Permatex, Tap Magic and similar branded chemical products, we'll supply the manufacturer TDS plus the relevant Safety Data Sheet (SDS) with your order. For pressure-system applications, ISO 7-1 (taper thread) and ISO 228-1 (parallel thread) define the thread forms that thread sealants are designed against.
Engineering Drawing and Tolerance Standards
- AS 1100.101 — Technical drawing — General principles.
- AS 1100.201 — Technical drawing — Mechanical engineering drawing.

Government, defence, education and Tier-1 procurement
Buyers from Federal, State and Local Government agencies, defence (RAAF and other branches), educational institutions (.edu.au domains including TAFE, universities, medical centres) and major industrial Tier-1 multinationals (Dow, IXOM, GWF, Martogg, Ventia and others) procure from AIMS regularly.
How procurement works for these buyers:
- Automatic 30-day credit terms. Government agencies (Federal, State, Local) and verified Tier-1 educational and industrial buyers receive 30-day credit as standard — no credit application form required. Email accounts@aimsindustrial.com.au with your PO and we'll set up the account for first order.
- Vendor qualification documentation pack. For procurement teams completing vendor qualification, we can supply a documentation pack covering AIMS business registration (Fully Chic Pty Ltd ABN), insurance, supplier capability statement, and standards coverage for the product categories you'll be ordering. Request via our quote form and flag it as "vendor qualification" in the notes.
- Standards compliance evidence with each delivery. Where the standard applies and the manufacturer holds the compliance documentation, we supply the Certificate of Conformity, mill certificate or batch certification with the consignment. Identify your requirement upfront in the PO or quote.
- Project pricing and contract arrangements. For multi-product, multi-quarter projects we can structure pricing and supply arrangements through our sales team. Contact sales@aimsindustrial.com.au with project scope.
What if your required standard isn't listed?
This page indexes the standards most commonly applicable to AIMS-stocked product categories. It isn't exhaustive — many AIMS products comply with sector-specific or international standards beyond those listed here, and many manufacturers hold compliance documentation against industry-specific standards we haven't surfaced.
If you need compliance evidence against a standard not listed above, contact us via our quote form (for new procurement enquiries) or email sales@aimsindustrial.com.au (for existing customer enquiries). We'll check supplier coverage and come back to you within 1 business day with a definitive answer — what we can supply, what we can't, and any alternative products that meet the same standard.
