1/4 x 1/8 in Galvanised Hexagon Bush | SB0806G
Available
This AAP galvanised hexagon bush is a mild steel fitting with BSP threads. It is supplied in 33 sizes, 1/4 x 1/8 in (8 x 6 mm) to 4 x 3 in (100 x 80 mm).
A bush reduces a threaded port from a larger size to a smaller one. The size is given as the larger thread first, then the smaller, for example 1/2 x 1/4. It is threaded outside (male) on the larger size and inside (female) on the smaller, with a hexagon for a spanner.
AAP states that its steel threaded pipe fittings are made to BS EN 10241:2000 (manufacturer-stated). It is galvanised. AAP does not state the galvanising process or coating thickness for this item. AAP states that all sizes of its fittings other than unions are sample tested to 5.2 MPa (manufacturer-stated). These are test pressures, not working pressures, so confirm the pressure and temperature for your application with AIMS before you order.

A is the length and B the hexagon across flats, as lettered on the AAP drawing, in millimetres. Sizes are larger first, then smaller. Weights are approximate, in kilograms per piece. A dash means AIMS is not showing that figure while it is checked with AAP.
Selecting the right option
Choose the size to match your pipework. These fittings are BSP threaded, so check that your pipe or fitting is BSP and not NPT before you order. Sizes are listed as the larger thread first, then the smaller.
