Mitutoyo 0 to 8" 200mm ABSOLUTE Caliper, No Output

The Mitutoyo Series 500 ABSOLUTE Digimatic Caliper (no SPC output) is a plain, dependable digital caliper for the bench and the shop floor. It reads in inches or millimetres and comes in three sizes: 0 to 6" (150mm), 0 to 8" (200mm) and 0 to 12" (300mm). It has no data port, so it is a display-only tool.

Resolution is the smallest step the display shows. Accuracy is how close a reading is to the true size, and it is a separate figure. Here the resolution is .0005" or 0.01mm. The accuracy is ±.001" (±0.02mm) on the 6" and 8" sizes and ±.0015" (±0.03mm) on the 12" size. An ABSOLUTE scale remembers where the jaws are, so you do not have to set zero each time you switch on. Its AOS induction sensor is not affected by water or oil on the scale face. If you want to log readings, choose the version with SPC output. For wet machining, look at the coolant proof caliper.
