Mitutoyo 0 to 4" 100mm ABSOLUTE Caliper, SPC Output

The Mitutoyo Series 500 ABSOLUTE Digimatic Caliper (inch/metric, with SPC output) reads in inches or millimetres and comes in four sizes: 0 to 4" (100mm), 0 to 6" (150mm), 0 to 8" (200mm) and 0 to 12" (300mm). It has an SPC data port and an ABSOLUTE scale. The 0 to 4" size has a rod depth bar. The others have a flat depth bar.

Resolution is the smallest step the display shows. Accuracy is how close a reading is to the true size, and it is a separate figure. Here the resolution is .0005" or 0.01mm. The accuracy is ±.001" (±0.02mm) on the 4", 6" and 8" sizes and ±.0015" (±0.03mm) on the 12" size. An ABSOLUTE scale remembers where the jaws are, so you do not have to set zero each time you switch on. SPC output is a data port. With an optional cable it sends readings to a computer or data logger. The cable is not included. If you do not need the data port, the same sizes are available without SPC output.
