Beaver 3 strand polyethylene rope, diameter (mm) 6

The Beaver silver staple rope is a three strand polyethylene rope. It is medium strength and durability with a medium to soft lay for easy handling. Fibrillated film produces hairs that protrude from the rope, giving it knotting and anti-abrasion properties. The rope is made to AS 4142.2.

Silver rope is resistant to oil, petrol, acid, rot, mildew, sunlight and weathering, which makes it suitable for external use, and it floats and can be stored wet. MBF is the lowest force at which a new rope of that size is expected to break, so it is not a safe working load. On synthetic rope say it breaks without warning, and that knots can fuse together when put under load, so friction between synthetic ropes should be avoided. Do not use this rope to lift or suspend loads.

Choose the diameter from the minimum breaking force you need, allowing a margin that suits your load restraint plan, then the reel length to suit the quantity of rope you will use.
