The Bossweld Stainless Steel TIG Welding Rod 309 is a stainless steel TIG filler wire for welding 23% chromium, 12% nickel stainless steels. It is classified AWS A5.9 ER309 (manufacturer-stated) and produces weld metal with a controlled ferrite content, which reduces the risk of heat cracking.
It suits 23% Cr-12% Ni stainless steels, and dissimilar joints such as stainless steel to mild steel. It comes in 1.6 mm and 2.4 mm diameters in 5 kg packs.
