The Bossweld Contact Back Strike Tip Tecmo PT25/PT40/PT60 comes in 3 options and suits Tecmo PT25, PT40 and PT60 torches. There are three options: a 0.8 mm tip for 20 to 30 A, a 0.8 mm tip for 30 A and a 0.9 mm tip for 40 A. The 0.9 mm tip suits PT40 and PT60 torches only. The Bossweld Plasma Wear Parts Kit PT40 contains PD0116 tips in 0.8 and 0.9 mm. Each option is supplied as a pack of 5.

The tip, also called the nozzle, holds the small orifice that squeezes the plasma arc into a tight, hot jet. The bore size is matched to the cutting current. A worn tip gives a rough or angled cut, a wider kerf or an oval hole, so replace it before the orifice is badly worn, normally together with a new electrode.

Match the tip to your torch by part number and pick the bore size to suit the cutting current you run: a smaller bore suits lower current and thinner plate, and a larger bore suits higher current. Extended tips go with extended electrodes, so check what is fitted to your torch now. Check the part number against the parts list for your torch before ordering.
