Brady Dangerous Goods Label
- Appropriate Dangerous Goods diamonds must be displayed adjacent to every major entrance to every building and to every storage area where D.G. are stored.
- An outer warning notice (HAZCHEM) must also be displayed at every vehicle access to the premises.
- Dangerous Goods and Hazchem items must be clearly identified and labeled whilst being stored in your facility or while being transported.
- Complies to Australian Standard AS1216 26.
- Labels are available in a range of sizes and materials.
About Hazardous Chemical Management In The Workplace
- The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations 2011 outline requirements for the use, handling, and storage of hazardous chemicals at a workplace and the specific responsibilities of the person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU).
Hazardous Chemical Labeling
- All Hazardous Chemical/s used, handled, or stored at the workplace must be correctly labelled according to WHS Regulations.
- This is the responsibility of the person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) at a workplace.
- This requirement also extends to chemicals manufactured at the workplace or transferred/decanted from their original container at the workplace.
- Hazardous Chemicals should be labelled in accordance with the Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) requirements.
- GHS labels contain elements that include relevant hazard pictograms, hazard statements, and precautionary statements that correspond to risk and safety phases.
- The current transitional requirements allow businesses to have until January 2017 to comply with the new system.
