The BT Weld Fume Extraction MIG Torch is made for use with the EX-1 torch fume extraction unit. It captures welding fumes at the arc and is available in three versions: a 250 A air-cooled 24 style, a 340 A air-cooled 36 style and a 500 A water-cooled 501 style.

Capturing fume at the torch improves the air quality around the welder. A complete MIG torch connects the wire feeder to the arc. It carries the welding current, shielding gas and wire, and the amp rating is quoted at a duty cycle: a rating at 60% duty means the torch can weld at that current for 6 minutes in every 10 before it needs to cool.

Selecting the right option

Choose the torch by the current you weld at, the cable length you need and the connection your machine takes. A longer cable gives more reach but a heavier, stiffer lead, and the connection (Euro or bayonet) has to match your wire feeder. Pick the torch style that matches the consumables you already stock, so tips, nozzles and diffusers stay interchangeable.
