Mitutoyo 0 to 25mm IP65 Digimatic Micrometer, SPC

The Mitutoyo Series 293 Coolant Proof Micrometer is a digital outside micrometer for machine shops that run cutting oil and coolant. This version is metric and has SPC data output. It reads to 0.001mm with an accuracy of ±1µm, and comes in two sizes: 0 to 25mm and 25 to 50mm. The measuring faces are carbide tipped.

Resolution is the smallest step the display shows, and accuracy is a separate figure. IP65 is a dust and water rating. It lets you use the micrometer where cutting oil is present, and asks you to apply anti-corrosion treatment after use. SPC output is a data port. With an optional cable it sends readings to a computer or data logger. The cable (05CZA662 at 1m or 05CZA663 at 2m) is not included. Each size comes with a certificate of inspection, which is not the type used to obtain calibration certificates. If you do not need the data port, choose the version with no SPC output.
