CRC Auto AC Pro Cleaner 470g

CRC Auto AC Pro Cleaner is an aerosol foam cleaner for car air-conditioning systems. CRC's data sheet says it cleans the evaporator and air conduits from all contaminations, using a foam formula that contains an anti-bacterial agent and leaves a fresh smell.

The foam is sprayed into the air inlet of the AC system through the supplied extension hose, left to work, then discharges through the AC drain. It is an aqueous product with a hydrocarbon propellant and is classed as a flammable aerosol.

Using it

Always follow the vehicle manufacturer's cleaning recommendations. Switch the engine and all electrical installations off and remove the cabin air filter and any other filter systems.

Shake the can well and attach the extension tube. Insert the tube about 30 cm into the AC system air inlet and spray until the system is full of foam. Leave it to work for at least half an hour; the foam discharges through the AC drain.

Then run the engine at idle speed for 10 to 20 minutes with heating and ventilation at maximum. Check the AC evaporator is dry and fit a new cabin air filter.

Ventilate any enclosed workspace (open the doors and windows and leave the bonnet open) until the active foam has fully evaporated.

Storage and handling

Do not puncture, incinerate or store above 50 °C. Keep away from live electrical sources, as aerosol cans conduct electricity. CRC gives a conditional warranty of 5 years from the date of manufacture.

Limits and safety

WARNING. Flammable aerosol (Category 2), flash point below 23 °C. Pressurised container: may burst if heated. Causes serious eye irritation. UN 1950, Class 2.1.
