CRC Battery Terminal Protector 300g

CRC Battery Terminal Protector is an aerosol dry protective coating designed to protect battery terminals from corrosion. CRC describes it as a dry, lead-free coating that keeps moisture, salts and road grime from corroding metal contacts.

It leaves a soft, flexible, visible film that encapsulates exposed surfaces. The yellow colour gives an easy visual check that it has been applied. CRC lists it for battery posts, terminals, hold-downs and casings in vehicles, boats and machinery, as well as back-up power installations.

Selecting the right option

Using it

Shake the can well. Disconnect the earth cable to prevent arcing before applying. Clean away any existing corrosion with CRC Battery Maintenance first.

Apply an even coat to the freshly cleaned site. For preventative maintenance, reapply at least every four months.

When finished, clean the valve by inverting the can and pressing the actuator until only propellant escapes. Do not use on energised equipment, and do not let the can touch the battery terminals.

Storage and handling

Do not puncture, incinerate or store above 50 °C. Keep away from live electrical sources.
