CRC Industrial Silicone Mould Release Food Grade 326g

CRC Food Grade Silicone Mould Release (CRC product number FG03301) is a light duty, rapid dry, anti-stick silicone release agent for cold and hot moulds, supplied as a 326g aerosol. CRC's data sheet gives the silicone content as 3%, and says it is formulated for light duty applications where post-mould painting is not required.

CRC says it prevents sticking, increases the life of dies and moulds, improves product surface finishes and reduces production times. The data sheet states NSF M1 registration as a release agent on food packaging.

Selecting the right option

Using it

CRC's directions: do not over-spray. Apply a light, even film to the mould surface as needed when sticking occurs. To avoid marked parts, do not over apply; excessive application will not improve the release properties.

Hold the can 25 cm to 30 cm from the mould surface. Do not spray directly on plastics. Remove with organic solvents.

Storage and handling

Do not puncture, incinerate or store above 50°C. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, away from heat or ignition sources.

Limits and safety

Classified as hazardous under Safe Work Australia criteria. Signal word Danger. H222: extremely flammable aerosol. H229: pressurised container, may burst if heated. UN 1950, AEROSOLS, Class 2.1.
