Selecting the right option
Both imperial dial calipers read 0.001" (manufacturer-stated), so choose by the largest part you need to measure: 6" (CDL6) or 8" (CDL8). For metric work, the metric dial calipers read 0.02mm on 150mm, 200mm and 300mm ranges. For a vernier scale instead of a dial, the fine adjustment vernier calipers carry both a 0.02mm and a 0.001" reading (manufacturer-stated).
