Mitutoyo 505-732 Dial Caliper 0-150mm 0.01mm

The Mitutoyo Series 505 dial caliper measures outside size, inside size, depth and steps, and shows the fine part of the reading on a round dial. These two models read in 0.01mm steps, with one turn of the pointer for each millimetre. Toolrooms, fitters, inspectors and apprentices use them. The yellow dial reduces the effect of parallax and the large finger rest makes the caliper easy to use.

To read it, take the main scale reading and add the dial reading. For example, 20mm on the main scale plus 0.00mm on the dial is 20.00mm. Graduation is the smallest step the dial shows. Maximum permissible error is the most a reading can be out, so check both. If you are happy to read in 0.02mm steps, look at the 0.02mm Series 505 models.
