Mitutoyo 2416A Long Stroke Dial Indicator 1"

The Mitutoyo Series 2 long stroke inch dial indicator measures how far its plunger moves, with 1" or 2" of travel. Machinists, toolrooms and inspectors who work in inches use it for comparing parts, checking alignment and setting up work. It reads in 0.001" steps, and the pointer turns once for each 0.1". The case is oil- and water-tight, with quenched hardened stainless steel, a carbide contact point and a grand gear made of wear- and deformation-resistant material. An anti-reflective, hard surface coating improves scale visibility and resists scratches and chemicals.

Range is how far the plunger can travel. The figure in brackets, 0.1", is how far it travels for one turn of the pointer. Graduation is the smallest step on the dial. Dial reading is how the dial is numbered. The 2416A and 2424A-19 are numbered ±0-100, and the 2904A is numbered 100-0. To choose, take the 2416A or 2904A for 1" of travel, or the 2424A-19 for 2". Pick the 2904A only if you want the 100-0 numbering.
