Mitutoyo 2050A Long Stroke Dial Indicator 20mm

The Mitutoyo Series 2 long stroke dial indicator measures how far its plunger moves, with 20mm or 30mm of travel. Machinists, toolrooms and inspectors use it for comparing parts, checking alignment and setting up work. It reads in 0.01mm steps, and the pointer turns once for each millimetre. The case is oil- and water-tight, with quenched hardened stainless steel, a carbide contact point and a grand gear made of wear- and deformation-resistant material. An anti-reflective, hard surface coating improves scale visibility and resists scratches and chemicals.

Range is how far the plunger can travel. The figure in brackets, 1mm, is how far it travels for one turn of the pointer. Graduation is the smallest step on the dial, and error is how far a reading can be out. To choose, take the 2050A for 20mm of travel or the 2052A for 30mm. Both have a lug back. For finer reading over a short range, look at the standard type Series 2 indicators.
