Mitutoyo 3052A-19 Large Dial Indicator 30mm

The Mitutoyo Series 3 dial indicator has a large dial face for easy reading and a long stroke of 30mm, 50mm or 100mm. Machinists, toolrooms and inspectors use it for comparing parts and checking alignment where a bigger dial helps. It reads in 0.01mm steps, and the pointer turns once for each millimetre. The case is oil- and water-tight, with quenched hardened stainless steel, a carbide contact point and a grand gear made of wear- and deformation-resistant material. An anti-reflective, hard surface coating improves scale visibility and resists scratches and chemicals.

Range is how far the plunger can travel, and the 1mm in brackets is how far it moves for one turn of the pointer. Graduation is the smallest step on the dial. Error is how far a reading can be out. To choose, pick the travel you need: 30mm, 50mm or 100mm. The longer the travel, the higher the error over the full range and the measuring force. Use the 100mm model with the contact point downward.
