Dixon T31W-100050PM 1" x 1/2" BioPharm Weld Reducer SS PM Finish - SF4

This Dixon BioPharm weld reducer joins two BPE tube sizes end to end on a common centreline (concentric), with a weld end on each side. It is 316 stainless steel and Dixon lists sizes from 3/4" x 1/2" up to 6" x 4" (manufacturer-stated).
The PM finish (SF4) has a mechanically polished outside (.812) and an inside that is mechanically polished and then electropolished (.381) (manufacturer-stated).
Dixon lists the reducer to ASME BPE 2012 (table DT-4.1.3-1) and lists eccentric reducers as a separate range. Its packing page says each fitting is capped, with a white cap marking the PM finish (manufacturer-stated).

Dixon prints the finish figures without a unit on its product pages. Its BPE surface finish table lists them as Ra maximum in micrometres (um), and the 2024 Dixon catalogue prints the same finishes as 32 Ra, 20 Ra and 15 Ra. Dixon describes mechanical polishing as smoothing the surface with tools and progressively finer abrasives, and electropolishing as an electrochemical process that removes material and leaves a smoother, mirror-like surface (all manufacturer-stated).

Dimension A and the tube OD are from Dixon's Australian catalogue; the nominal wall (large end x small end) is from the 2024 Dixon catalogue, in inches as Dixon prints it. Dimension A is not shown for the four 3" reducers (T31W-300100, T31W-300150, T31W-300200 and T31W-300250) because Dixon's catalogues give different figures for them, and the size of T31W-200150PM is not shown. Ask us to confirm these before ordering.
Selecting the right option
Read the size as large end x small end, and check both tube ODs and the nominal wall in the table. Choose the finish from your process specification: PM is electropolished inside and PL is mechanically polished inside and out. For a reducer where the two tubes must sit on a common centreline, concentric is the right type; ask us about Dixon's eccentric range if you need one.
