Crack Test Spray
A crack test spray (dye penetrant inspection, or DPI) is a four-step aerosol system that reveals surface-breaking cracks and flaws in metals and castings — surface preparation, penetrant, remover, and developer. The penetrant wicks into surface defects, the excess is wiped away, and the developer draws the penetrant back out to make the flaw visible. Dy-Mark Flawcheck is supplied as a complete kit, or the individual aerosols can be bought to refill specific steps, and the system conforms to AS 2062 Type 2 Method C (visible dye, solvent-removable), aligned with AS ISO 3452.1:2020.
