Dy-Mark 42040503 Protech Bio Degreaser 5L

Dy-Mark Protech Bio Degreaser is a concentrated, heavy-duty, water-based cleaner and degreaser with a biodegradable formula, in 5L and 20L containers (manufacturer-stated).

The Dy-Mark brochure and product page describe it as water-based and safe for use in confined spaces, designed for commercial and industrial use including workshops, warehouses and manufacturing sites, and suitable for floors, machinery, tools, parts and equipment. The technical data sheet lists equipment, crusher parts, tools, machinery, workshop floors and engines as suitable surfaces and an application temperature between 10°C and 35°C. It can be applied by immersing, wiping or spraying, left to soak and penetrate, then cleaned off with water.

Dilution rates from the data sheet: full strength for very heavy grease and oil deposits, 1 part Bio Degreaser to 10 parts water for general degreasing of heavy soiling, and 1 part to 20 parts water for light degreasing. Shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture. Dy-Mark describes the product as non-toxic and non-flammable; the Safety Data Sheet also lists it as causing serious eye damage (H318), so read the Safety Data Sheet before use.

Selecting the right option

Choose the 5L for a workshop and the 20L if you degrease regularly. Because it is a concentrate, the dilution rate decides how far each container goes: use the stronger mix for heavy deposits and a weaker mix for light cleaning. For a ready-to-spray aerosol see Protech Heavy Duty Degreaser 400g.
