A ball vibrator drives a steel ball around a hardened raceway on compressed air to create rotary vibration, with force rising as ball speed increases. Bolted to a sloped wall, that energy transfers into the material, easing it away from the wall so it flows under gravity. Because the vibration is directional, flow follows the path of the rotating ball.
