• Machine Nut Taps are used where a long shank is needed and are available in Taper, Intermediate, and Bottoming leads.
• To ensure easy and precise use the Machine Nut Tap Taper lead has a unique, very long entering chamfer.
• This makes aligning the cutting end with the workpiece simple.
• Ideal for tapping nuts, small quantities made from tough steel such as stainless steel as well as mild steels, or for rethreading rusty or worn threads.
• Alternatively, the Intermediate and Bottoming leads are ideally suited to long-reach threading applications where the thread needs to be tapped or cleaned beyond the reach of a standard tap.
• We recommend the Intermediate lead Machine Nut Tap for long-reach through-hole applications and the Bottoming lead for long-reach blind-hole applications.
