M5 Hex Weld Nut, 316 Stainless Steel - XWNA4M5
Available
The Hex Weld Nut A4 (316) is available in 5 sizes (M5 to M12) and is a hex nut with projections on one face that are resistance welded to sheet or plate. It leaves a fixed internal thread for a bolt or screw.
The range runs to 5 variants, covering sizes M5 to M12. Variants are supplied in packs of 50 to 100, depending on size.
A4 (316) stainless steel contains molybdenum (about 2 to 3 per cent), which improves its resistance to chlorides. It is the grade normally chosen for coastal, pool, marine and food-processing settings, and it costs more than A2 (304). Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.
Use stainless washers and nuts with stainless fasteners, so the whole joint is made of the same material.
