Mitutoyo 145-185 Caliper Type Inside Micrometer

The Mitutoyo 145-185 is an analog caliper type inside micrometer that measures the inside size of a hole, slot or groove from 5 to 30mm. It suits toolrooms, machinists and inspectors. The pin jaws are carbide tipped, and it has a constant measuring-force device so each reading is taken with the same force. It reads to 0.01mm.

Graduation is the smallest step you can read on the scale. Accuracy is a separate figure. It is the maximum permissible error, which is the most the reading is allowed to be out. The maximum permissible error is ±5µm. An optional reference gage is needed to set the micrometer accurately before use, such as a gauge block accessory set, a CERA Inside Micro Checker (above 25mm) or a setting ring (below 300mm). None of these is included. To mount it on a micrometer stand you also need the optional cap (300401) and holder (300400).
