The Mitutoyo Series 141 inch inside micrometer measures the diameter of a bore over a wide range by combining interchangeable rods and spacing collars. It suits toolrooms, machinists, fitters and inspectors who measure bores of many sizes from inch drawings. Each rod is marked with its measuring range. It reads to 0.001".
There are three sets: 1 to 2" (2 rods), 2 to 8" (3 rods) and 2 to 12" (5 rods). Graduation is the smallest step you can read on the scale. Accuracy is a separate figure. It is the maximum permissible error, which is the most the reading is allowed to be out. The spindle feed error, the difference between the highest and lowest reading error across the head, as 0.00015".
